Deputy Chief McKee was a first responder to the World Trade Center site during and after the attacks on September 11, 2001. Deputy Chief McKee responded to the site and assisted with evacuations and, later, with search and recovery. Deputy Chief McKee died of brain cancer on September 12, 2015.
