National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Announces September 2025 Officers of the Month

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Corporal Lauren Pridgen, Corporal Christopher Terenyi, Corporal James Sears and Corporal Patrick Madera of the Anne Arundel County (MD) Police Department as the Officers of the Month for September 2025. These officers were selected for their lifesaving actions that occurred over the course of three days.

These officers worked together as a team during a domestic situation where a father was holding his young son at knife point.

Detective Castro was selected for her actions during an investigation that was brought forth by a child victim being solicited online for sex by an unknown adult.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced that Police Officer First Class (POFC) Ian Lachapelle of the Fairfax County (VA) Police Department, is their Officer of the Month for May 2025. POFC Lachapelle was selected for his actions when he ultimately saved the lives of his two fellow officers who were taking fire at point-blank range from a driver of a vehicle they had stopped.

Chief Tom Manger Retired Chief Tom Manger received the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” for 2025 in recognition of his extraordinary contributions and the positive effect he has had on the law enforcement profession.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Officer Brian Sanchioni and his K9 partner Titan, of the Milford (MA) Police Department as their Officers of the Month for April 2025. Officer Sanchioni and Titan were selected for their actions when they located a missing 8-year-old, non-verbal autistic child that had wandered away from home.
