The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Sergeant John Banner, Officer Christopher Wiseman, and Officer Brian Leal of the White Settlement (TX) Police Department as the Officers of the Month for April 2026. These officers were selected for their actions when they conducted a water rescue in rapidly moving floodwaters, utilizing jumper cables as an improvised rescue line to assist in safely rescuing a mother and her three children.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Chief Aaron Edwards and Sergeant Luis Navarro of the New York City Police Department (NY) as the Officers of the Month for March 2026. Chief Edwards and Sgt. Navarro are being recognized for their actions in a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) incident in New York City.

These officers are being recognized for their response to a domestic violence incident in late February.

Senior Officer Evans was selected for his actions when he jumped into an icy pond to rescue an 11-year-old boy who had fallen through the ice and was unable to get out.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Officer Tevfik Koksaldi, Officer Nellie Carela, and Officer Samuel Morgan IV of the Metropolitan Police Department (Washington, D.C.) as the Officers of the Month for December 2025. These officers were selected for their actions during a life-saving rescue at a residential fire.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Police Officer Ankit Gupta, Police Officer Wilmer Guerrero and Police Officer Shuaibul Amine of the New York City Police Department as the Officers of the Month for November 2025. These officers were selected for their actions during a response to a distressed individual in the Hudson River.

Sergeant Shields was recognized for his actions when responding to a dangerous situation involving a child who ran onto a highway.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Corporal Lauren Pridgen, Corporal Christopher Terenyi, Corporal James Sears and Corporal Patrick Madera of the Anne Arundel County (MD) Police Department as the Officers of the Month for September 2025. These officers were selected for their lifesaving actions that occurred over the course of three days.

These officers rushed into a burning home to save a man that was trapped inside.

These officers worked together as a team during a domestic situation where a father was holding his young son at knife point.
