Overview
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) brought on a full-time Wellness Coordinator who was instrumental to crafting programs and incentives and built their own Health Center which conducts biometric screenings and follow-up visit with their physician. OCSO offers free online webinar and docuseries by health gurus for Wellness Reimbursement Points. Understanding that they operate under “Crime Time” and having things that are available 24/7 is powerful for connecting with purpose.
OCSO also offered coaching on farmer’s markets and books that focus on the importance of healthy habits.
A Wellness Reimbursement Form was offered to all staff who wanted to submit for additional incentive. We paired the participation and the completion of the Cigna Health Risk Assessment for a reimbursement of $100, and if your biometric scores (Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Glucose) fell into the “normal” range then you were awarded $25 with a maximum of $200 total. incentive to have the employees’ personal health care premium paid 100% by the agency for participation stayed the same.
