Deputy First Class Aldridge was shot and killed while responding to a domestic violence call. Deputy Aldridge knocked on the front door and the suspect opened the door and immediately shot Deputy Aldridge in the head. He was transported to the hospital and later succumbed to his gunshot wound. The suspect was later apprehended after fleeing the scene but has since passed away himself.
