Sergeant Coleman suffered a fatal heart attack while responding to a call for assistance involving a parolee being processed for release at the Cummins Unit Prison in Grady, Arkansas. Sergeant Coleman had collapsed in the hallway while responding after running towards a conference room to offer assistance with the combative parolee.
