On June 26, 2025, Police Officer Corder was shot after he and his partner responded to a domestic violence call which was upgraded to a shots fired call while enroute to the scene. The officers were shot multiple times after exiting their patrol vehicle and approaching an alley. Both officers were transported to a hospital where Officer Corder remained on life support until June 29, 2025.
