Special Agent Fournier was a member of the FBI Cleveland Division Evidence Response Team. Agent Fournier was deployed with the team to the Shanksville, Pennsylvania crash site in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Agent Fournier worked close to the impact crater for 10-12 hours per day searching on hands and knees for evidence. Agent Fournier died of malignant melanoma on December 26, 2009.
