REMEMBER | Fallen Heroes

Deputy Sheriff Martin suffered a heart attack after conducting a routine traffic stop. While on patrol, Deputy Martin witnessed two vehicles drive through a red light. Deputy Martin activated emergency lights and siren and engaged in pursuit. Deputy Martin stopped both vehicles. As Deputy Martin spoke to the first motorist, the second car drove away. Deputy Martin completed the traffic stop and went in pursuit of the second vehicle. As Deputy Martin interviewed the second driver, he abruptly stopped the interview and collapsed shortly after. Deputy Martin was transported to the hospital where he died.
