Deputy Sheriff Mason was shot and killed while responding to a call and it was discovered that a man at a residence had outstanding warrants.
As soon as the deputies entered the house, the suspect opened fire on both deputies. Deputy Mason was mortally wounded, and the other deputy was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
