Senior Police Officer Tamang was shot and killed while responding to a fraud and forgery call at a hotel in Stone Mountain, GA. While inside the suspect’s hotel room, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired at Officer Tamang and another responding officer. One of the officers returned fire, striking the shooter. Officer Tamang was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his gunshot wound.
