Police Officer Tyler was shot and killed during a tactical operation where a hostage situation turned into a standoff and the suspect barricaded himself in a home. A suspect broke into a home and took two women hostage. The man opened fire on the officers, killing Officer Tyler and wounding another officer. The suspect was also killed in the exchange of gunfire.
