Take a look at the video below that highlights the national monument dedicated to our fallen law enforcement officers.
When I was asked why I decided to accept the Chief Executive Officer position at the National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum, I had a simple answer: I believe in the mission. I believe in honoring law enforcement by learning what makes an officer do what they do every day, and by making sure those who sacrificed their lives to keep us safe are always remembered.
I walk through the Memorial every morning, and in doing so, remember what the families of the 21,910 officers engraved on the walls have lost so that we may be safe.
You will be receiving emails from me in the following weeks as part of a series to let you get to know me better. I’m excited to share the experiences I’ve had so far as I work to honor our officers and the amazing job they do.
