David Weisz is currently a public safety advisor. He recently retired from Motorola Solutions, Inc., where he led the company’s Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Alliance efforts. Mr. Weisz was instrumental in developing Motorola’s major partnership with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, including the collective efforts to build the National Law Enforcement Museum. He served on the Memorial Fund’s Board of Directors, is a member of the Museum Leadership Council, and on the Concerns of Police Survivors Advisory Council.
Mr. Weisz first became involved with the Memorial in 1987, before it was even built. He continues his work as a dedicated volunteer who focuses much of his energy on issues that impact law enforcement today.
As a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police SafeShield committee, he works closely with law enforcement leaders from across the country to decrease officer injuries and deaths.
