On behalf of our family, I would like to take this opportunity to give thanks to the leadership, and officers of the Philadelphia 9th Police District for rendering honor to my brother Jose Manuel Novoa Velez, and also to give special thank you to the representatives of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5, for supporting my brother’s daughter’s through these tragic times. And to all the famiy memebers and friends that loved Jose, we thank you and send you blessings, “STAY SAFE”

    The officers and employees of the 9th Police District and the City of Philadelphia have not only lost a 100% professional police officer, whom for 27 years, in rain, snow was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. They Lost an ambassetor of the law.

    I want to relay to you that Jose not only represented life to us, he represented the values, and the humbleness of our family, we are Jose, and now we have lost that legacy. I miss you my brother, I miss you, and will forever love you

  10. Dear brother you protect me when I was young always help me , You were my inspiration to become a Athlete and I better human. That’s why I help young kids to stay away from bad choices in Manati Puerto Rico .You always had in your blood to become a public services and protect you were destined to be a Police Officer in Philadelphia your birth place I’m sow proud of you . Brother your time in this world was cut short now you are in a better place in haven playing your percussion instrument for God and listening to your favorite music Salsa, brother I will Miss you for ever , and I am very sad because I had lots of plans to visit you and be together listening to Salsa and playing your instruments and seeing you laugh and hug you brother to feel that Love of Brother that you always had.   11. I will miss you my beautiful brother. I will miss our little calls after midnight, talking as the rain hit the roof of your patrol car or the snow and wind formed a little paper tornado flying down Market Street as you gave me a look into your life on the job made me feel like I was with you.
    I’m so lucky to have had such a great brother who I’m so proud of and respect. RIP my brother. A piece of my heart will be with you forever .
