Police Weekend

Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2022

This fall, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has special activities to honor law enforcement such as the iconic Nationwide Run for the Badge 5K, the Annual Awards Ceremony and a free Museum Open House.

Annual Awards Ceremony and Reception

The Annual Awards Ceremony and Reception will be held at the National Law Enforcement Museum on September 30. We will recognize and award the individuals and agencies who have created programs that save officer lives, who have gone above and beyond their call of duty, and who have made a significant impact on the law enforcement community:

  • 2022 Destination Zero Officer Safety and Wellness Awards
  • 2020 and 2021 Officers of the Month
  • 2022 Awards for Distinguished Service, Lifetime Achievement, and Excellence in Media

Run for the Badge 5K | Participate Remotely Nationwide on October 1st

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund annual Run for the Badge is a flagship community event that demonstrates support for law enforcement, generates excitement for the organization’s museum and special programs, and raises critical funds needed for our mission to honor the fallen, tell the story of American law enforcement, and make it safer for those who serve.

So that we can bring together communities across the nation for this important and popular event in support of law enforcement, the 2022 Run for the Badge will be 100% virtual. Participants can raise money, gather teams with friends and family anywhere in the country, and walk, run, or bike in their own communities.
