Exhibit Opening! Officers As Artists

Police Weekend 2024 will mark the official opening of the National Law Enforcement Museum’s new art exhibit in its DuPont Gallery: Officers As Artists, The Creative Expression of Those Who Serve. This exhibition celebrates the creative expression and transformative power of art. Explores the role of art and the many ways in which creative expression serves law enforcement officers.

The National Law Enforcement Museum will offer free attendance and a day filled with family-friendly activities, demonstrations, and immersive educational experiences. This is an incredible opportunity to connect with law enforcement, learn about their vital role in society, and have a blast with engaging activities. This event is fit for all ages. In addition to free entry to our unique experience, special added activities will include:

  • Storytime with an Officer
  • Activity Cart – K9, Handwriting Analysis, Cop Talk, and Fingerprinting
  • K9 Demonstration – MPD or USSS K9 demos in the theater
  • Activity Tables – Design Your Own Police Patch and Fingerprinting
  • Photo stations with props
  • Self-guided Scavenger Hunts
  • Plus, all of the Museum’s highly interactive exhibits!
