Highlights Tour

In this tour, visitors will be immersed in more than 250 years of American law enforcement history, with stops along the way to discuss notable cases and people, career paths, and artifacts. This is meant to cover a brief overview of the museum space, and we invite all those who participate to take additional time seeing the more than 800 artifacts on display.

Foundations of Service Tour

Foundations in Service is a guided museum experience designed specifically for cadets, recruits, and trainees preparing to serve their communities by taking the oath and joining this noble profession. Through powerful stories, historical case studies, and facilitated discussion, this tour explores the core values of the profession, concepts like honesty, integrity, courage, respect, and professionalism, and how they are tested in real‑world situations. More than a history lesson, the tour challenges participants to reflect on their own responsibilities, ethical decision‑making, and the role values play in earning public trust.

  • Audience: Law Enforcement trainees, cadets, recruits, and early‑career officers
  • Time: 60 minutes
  • Capacity: 30 visitors per tour

Exploring Law Enforcement Decision-Making

Shared Perspectives: Exploring Law Enforcement Decision-Making is a two-hour long immersive learning experience offered through the National Law Enforcement Museum’s new Contemporary Issues in Policing program. Designed for college and university classes as well as community groups, this program combines focused classroom instruction, hands-on use of professional law enforcement simulators, and a facilitated group discussion to examine how officers make critical decisions, particularly related to use of force, under real-world conditions.

  • Audience: 18+
  • Time: 120 minutes
  • Capacity: 50 visitors
