Law & Disorder | The Branch Davidians: The Beginning and Aftermath, Part 1

03.22.2023

From February 28 to April 19, 1993, federal agents found themselves in a standoff with members of the Branch Davidian sect at a compound in the desert outside of Waco Texas. The initial raid ended with the deaths of four ATF agents and five Branch Davidians, and the fiery conclusion of the 51-day siege continues to haunt federal agents 30 years later. In this episode of Law and Disorder, we begin our deep dive into the Waco siege with a look at the history and crimes of the Branch Davidians – the members of the religious sect being investigated by the ATF and learn how a seemingly harmless offshoot of the Seventh Day Adventist church started by a Hungarian Immigrant could become a deadly syndicate of crime.

Tune in for part 2 of this series on April 5th.
