Deputy Sheriff Carlos Cammon passed away after never regaining consciousness after collapsing during a SWAT tryout exercise on July 18, 2013. Deputy Cammon died at a rehabilitation center. Deputy Cammon is the sixth officer fatality from the state of California in 2019.
