  6. My dear Buddy Boy, your big sister holds fond memories of you ever since you were an infant.

One bittersweet memory of you at age 3 years was the car accident that altered the course of our lives. When I got home from school and saw you jumping on our parent’s bed, I asked: “Why are you at home and not at day care?” You stopped jumping to show me the bump on your forehead and scrapes on your torso. Amazingly, all you said was: “I’m OK. The nice policeman found my cowboy boots and put them back on my feet.”

Other experiences during your childhood included adults asking you, the first born boy, “what would you like to be when you grow up?” Most assuredly you said: “I want to be a policeman”, which did not turn out to be a childhood fantasy.

Your life on Earth was unnecessarily shortened; yet, you shall exist forever in the hearts and souls of those who were honored and privileged to have you in our short lives.

Never passes a day that one indulges in reminiscence a moment you were significant in their life.
