Border Patrol Agent Robert Hotten was found unresponsive while on foot patrol near Mount Washington, south of Patagonia, Arizona. Border Patrol Agent Hotten was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Border Patrol Agent Hotten is the fourth officer fatality from a Federal Agency in 2019.

  2. My dad was a Police officer in Portland the 60’s and 70’s he passed away at age 84. I feel like these great people are family. Please be safe out there. God Bless

  3. We hurt because another member of the Blue Family passes away while doing his duty. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Border Patrol Agent Robert Hotten’s Family and Blue Family.

  4. Border Patrol Agent Robert Hotten may you rest in peace. I know this area and it is extremely rough going.
    Am praying for the families–all 3 of them. Family, Department, and Community.
    I have walked this tunnel and know there will be light as you near the end by remembering the happy times. Know there will always be times when you find yourselves back in the tunnel but it will be less time if you are able to again dwell on the happy time.

  5. Border Patrol Agent Robert Hotten will never be forgotten. I will be riding my bicycle with hundreds of my fellow law enforcement officers for Agent Hotten, his family and his CBP department, in the Police Unity Tour on May 9-12, 2020. I will never forget Agent Hotten’s service to our country and protecting our border.
