Sergeant Christopher Brewster was shot and killed after responding to a domestic disturbance call. The call was from a female who advised dispatchers that her boyfriend had assaulted her and was armed with weapons. After exiting his patrol vehicle, Sergeant Brewster was met by gunfire. Sergeant Brewster is the 47th law enforcement officer to be shot and killed this year and the thirteenth officer fatality from the state of Texas in 2019.
