End of Watch: February 25, 2020

Corporal Andrew Gillette was shot and killed as he and other deputies were serving a detention order and eviction notice at a residence. A suspect inside fired multiple shots striking Corporal Gillette in the chest. Deputies shot and killed the suspect during the incident. Corporal Gillette is the 8th law enforcement officer to be shot and killed this year and the second officer fatality from the state of South Carolina in 2020.
