Police Officers Ismael Chavez and Edelmiro Garza were shot and killed as they responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the officers attempted to enter the home, the suspect opened fire, fatally wounding both officers. The suspect committed suicide after shooting the officers. Police Officer Chavez is the 29th law enforcement officer to be shot and killed this year and the twelfth officer fatality from the state of Texas in 2020.

For fallen officers Ismael Chavez and Edelmiro Garza Jr such a πŸ˜₯ sad and tragic and cowardly act of taking these brave officers lives . So sad that these brave men and women have to go through on a daily basis putting their lives on the line to protect and serve their communities not knowing at the beginning of their shifts if they will be coming home to their loved ones so let us pray for all these brave souls who put their lives in jeopardy on a daily basis and may st Michael guide their souls before God Almighty and may he allow their souls to enter into the kingdom of heaven there to rest forevermore thank you for your brave service RIP Blue lives Matter.

  9. I met Officer Chavez as he went thru the police academy and was an exemplary cadet. A cheerful and friendly soul living his dream of becoming a police officer. I considered him a professional person that left his position as a school teacher to help even a larger part of society. My condolences to his family and friends.
