Sergeant Harold Lloyd Preston was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Another officer was wounded during the incident. Sergeant Preston is the 42nd law enforcement officer to be shot and killed this year and the 26th officer fatality from the state of Texas in 2020.
