Police Officer James Kouski was struck and killed will investigating a prior DUI crash. Officer Kouski was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Officer Kouski is the 21st law enforcement officer to be killed in a traffic-related incident this year and the third officer fatality from the state of Illinois in 2021.
