It was an Honor and a Privilege to Serve

Stand With Honor

John F. Pollinger
Chief of Police (Ret.) Middletown Township Police Department

Hello, my name is John F. Pollinger. I joined the Middletown Township Police Department in 1977 when I was 25 years old after serving two years with the Ocean Grove (NJ) Police Department and spending three years serving my country as a Military Police Officer and Military Police Investigator in the United States Army. It was my dream in life to serve my community as a police officer in my home town. It was an honor and a privilege to begin my journey as a Law Enforcement Explorer and rise through the ranks to proudly serve my community and lead my department as their Chief of Police. Although I retired in 2005, the memories and experiences I had will last forever.
