Sergeant, Georgetown (TX) Police Department
I joined the Bastrop Tx Police Department in 1992, I started out in patrol and worked through as a gang officer, SRO, bike patrol and then Detective. I received Officer of the Year while there.
In 2000 I went to Georgetown Tx Police Department where I started in patrol, Community Resources and Bike Patrol, Crime Prevention and leader of the youth program, Law Enforcement Explores. I then became a Detective Sgt and then a Patrol Sergeant. I was also on the SWAT team, and high-risk arrest team. I received Officer of the Year as well as Central Texas Crime Prevention Vice President.
In 2008 I went to San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department where I was a Patrol Sgt and Team leader of the SWAT Team. I received the Life Saving Honor from our Sheriff.
I retired in 2012 and left Texas with my son Aaron Gage Lacy.
