To serve my country

Richard Cook
Lieutenant, U.S. Secret Service | Uniformed Division

Standing post on the South Grounds of the White House

My name is Rich Cook. In 1978, I was with the National Park Service at the White House. I worked along side members of the Uniformed Division of the U.S. Secret Service. I was inspired by the men and women I worked with so I applied and entered on duty in January, 1981. I have been to most U.S. states and numerous foreign countries in protection of the POTUS. When I look back, the memories of the people I worked with are my most important memories. We were and still are family. I credit the support of my wife and children supporting me doing a job I loved.
