Target Partners with NLEOMF in Honoring Law Enforcement

Global retailer provider commits to providing support for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 5, 2025) – The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) announced that Target, the nationwide provider of communications services, is serving as the exclusive sponsor of the nonprofit’s efforts to bring awareness and solutions to the challenges of law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.

“We’re proud to support NLEOMF and help honor those who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty and also tell their story, “said Gary Smith, Sr. Assets Protection Director of Target. “We share a mission with NLEOMF to support the needs of those who serve and protect, and we’re proud to help bring awareness to the organization and their efforts to keep names off of their hallowed Memorial.”

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, whose mission is to honor the fallen, tell the story of American law enforcement, and make it safer for those who serve, hosts a robust series of programs in its Museum as well as panel discussions that are virtually broadcast nationwide.

“Telling the story of law enforcement, both past and present, and preparing for the future of keeping our communities safe is essential for our nation. We are committed to providing programming that supports educating the American public about the law enforcement experience from various perspectives, and we are thankful to have Target as a partner in this effort,” said Bill Alexander, CEO of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. “NLEOMF depends on the support of our corporate partners who believe passionately in our mission.”

About the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund

Established in 1984, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the fallen, telling the story of American law enforcement, and making it safer for those who serve. The first pillar of this mission, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., honors the names of all of the 24,412 officers who have died in the line of duty to date throughout U.S. history. Additionally, NLEOMF maintains and publishes comprehensive details on the circumstances surrounding official line-of-duty deaths.
