Thank you for your service and your and your family’s sacrifice. It was an honor to work with you as our careers often had us working together in the ER or in the field when I was on an ambulance. As Chief Rummage said, “you had the heart of a servant”. You also had the heart of a warrior – to endure all you had to endure with a smile and still continue to inspire others. It was an honor and a privilege to both work with you and call you friend.
