Benton County Oregon is tremendously grateful for the courage, service, and sacrifice of Posse Member James Appelgate. His quick actions in assisting a patrolman on foot helped apprehend a suspect on the run. Posse Member Appelgate gave his life to keep us safe. Even though Jimmy Appelgate’s End of Watch occurred on October 25, 1955 we will never forget his incredible devotion to protect and serve our community.
