History

Jeffrey Muller
Special Agent, Homeland Security Investigations

I joined the United States Marine Corps in 1990 and served as Infantry and Security Forces out of Marine Barracks 8 & I and the White House Communications Agency. I was in two Marine Corps commercials during that time.

In 1995, I joined the United States Park Police and served out of Districts 1 and 5 as well as the Training Branch in Washington, D.C. During that time I received the U.S. Park Police Medal of Honor, the U.S. Department of Interior Medal of Valor and Orlando W. Wilson Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding contribution for law enforcement. I was the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund’s Officer of the Month for May 1997.

After the terrorist attacks of 911, I transferred to The Federal Air Marshal Service. During that time, I helped stand up the FAMS Mission Operation Center and flew countless missions in the United States and throughout the world.

Cocaine seizure from the Keys

In 2009, I transferred to Homeland Security Investigations assigned to Key West, Florida, and later in Miami, Florida. During that time, I investigated some far reaching smuggling, immigration, gang, and corruption cases. I was a Senior Firearms Instructor for many years.

It is funny how we all think that we have seen it all, but even with the crazy high speed pursuits, rude people, shootings, and crocodile tears, I am constantly surprised at the ingenuity and bizarre criminal activity that I see daily.
