All ticket purchases are final, no refunds.

You are admitted to the Museum on the condition, and you agree by using your ticket, that you will obey all Museum rules that can be found within these pages and that you will release the National Law Enforcement Museum, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, and the District of Columbia from any and all claims, causes of action, and liabilities that may arise out of any accident, personal injury, loss, or damage to property during your visit. The Museum reserves the right to remove any visitor who does not comply with museum rules. The Museum further reserves the right to use the image of the ticketholder in print, media, or video without providing notice or compensation to the ticketholder.

Photography

Flash photography and videography are not permitted in the Museum. Photography is permitted for personal, non-commercial use only. Still and video photography on smartphones or tablets are permitted unless otherwise posted. The use of tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks is prohibited; photography in the Museum must not impede walkways, block exits/entrances or in any other way disturb the Museum and other visitors. Working members of the media who wish to film or photograph in the Museum should contact Communications staff.

Please note that during your Museum visit, we may be filming, videotaping or photographing inside the facility for Museum marketing purposes. Purchase of, and entry with, this ticket implies consent to use your likeness or image without compensation in Museum promotional materials.

Food and Drink

Outside food and drink are only permitted in the Museum in resealable containers and must remain inside backpacks or bags. Water is allowed on the Gallery level in closed containers. Food and drink may not be consumed anywhere in the Museum except the Cafe. Only food and drink purchased in the Café may be consumed there. The Museum does not have facilities to accommodate group or bagged lunches.

Smoking

Smoking and the use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited in the Museum. This includes the use of electronic cigarettes.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the museum, with the exception of service animals.

Inclement Weather

In case of inclement weather, special events booked at the Museum will proceed as scheduled even if the Museum is closed during regular business hours. Should the District of Columbia close due to a state of emergency/weather, our staff will contact the client.
