The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced that Police Officer First Class (POFC) Ian Lachapelle of the Fairfax County (VA) Police Department, is their Officer of the Month for May 2025. POFC Lachapelle was selected for his actions when he ultimately saved the lives of his two fellow officers who were taking fire at point-blank range from a driver of a vehicle they had stopped.

Officer Sanchioni and Titan were selected for their actions when they located a missing 8-year-old, non-verbal autistic child that had wandered away from home.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced Officers Adrian Woolford, Chrystian Banuelos and Jonathan Bombardier of the Pasadena (CA) Police Department as their Officers of the Month for January 2025. These officers were recognized for their bravery and determination in ensuring the safety of residents during the Eaton fires by going door to door – including at a nursing home – to locate and evacuate individuals surrounded by active fires.
