30th Annual Pipeband Memorial March
The National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies (NCLEES) is pleased to announce the 30th Annual Pipeband Memorial March on Sunday, May 14, 2024.
The Memorial March and Service began in 1995 and has become a signature event during National Police Week in Washington, DC. The procession includes; pipebands, Emerald Societies, honor guards, antique police cars, and motorcycles from the United States and Canada.
Stage Area/Line Up: 4:00pm
- New Jersey Ave and F street NW
March Starts: 5:00pm
- Step Off at 5:00 pm at on Capitol Hill at New Jersey Avenue and F street NW; proceed along E street to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on the south side at E Street.
Memorial Service: 6:00pm
- Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial opening music from public safety pipebands. The service includes speakers, pipe tunes from participating bands and concludes with the placing of two wreaths at the center of the Memorial.
All Pipebands, Emerald Societies, Honor Guards, departmental motorcycles and vintage police vehicles are invited to participate in the Memorial March. The public is encouraged to attend the service.
