Lieutenant Beers, Undersheriff Larry Koren, and Deputy First Class Michael Levison were killed in an aircraft crash after assisting firefighters with a wildfire in the area. Rescue Specialist Matthew King of the Bernalillo County Fire Department was also killed in the aircraft crash.
