Deputy Sheriff Hazelton died in an automobile crash when his patrol car collided with a station wagon at an intersection. Deputy Hazelton was transporting a mental patient and two of the patient’s family members to the state hospital when he experienced a heart attack and was unable to stop the patrol car. Two other people also died in the crash and seven people were injured.
