Sergeant Krinkee was shot and killed while attempting to serve a trespass warning to a male suspect who was recently evicted from a property. Sergeant Krinkee arrived to the scene and an altercation ensued after the suspect failed to comply with the officer. The suspect then fired upon Sergeant Krinkee, striking him several times and the officer died at the scene.
