Police Officer Muhlbauer and his K-9 partner Champ were killed in an automobile crash while on patrol. A driver was travelling at an excessive speed and disregarded a red light and crashed into Officer Muhlbauer’s patrol vehicle. Officer Muhlbauer was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and K9 Champ was also killed during the crash.
