The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) announced that its Board of Directors has approved revised criteria allowing deaths by suicide to be considered as potential line-of-duty deaths which may be reviewed for inclusion on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

The deputy was selected for his actions on July 4, when he rescued a man trapped inside a burning vehicle following a crash.
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced 15officers were selected from the Chico Police Department (CA) for their coordinated response during an active shooter incident at a public library, where their rapid actions helped stop a potential mass casualty event and protect members of the community.
