Lifeline | 2023 NHTSA Second Quarter Review: Officer Traffic Safety

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), collects and analyzes fatal law enforcement crash data to track any emerging trends and to provide timely safety recommendations to the field.

On this episode of Lifeline, Nick Breul, the Senior Project Manager for the department of Officer Safety and Wellness here at the Memorial Fund, reviews the NHTSA second quarter statistics of 2023. He is joined by Captain Peter Cimbal from Chesterfield County (VA) Police Department, who discusses his department’s efforts at improving officer traffic safety.
