The Museum welcomes Captain, the official dog of the Washington Capitals, for a VIP tour

Captain
On Tuesday, February 25, Washington Capitals’ pup, Captain, paid a visit for a VIP (pup) tour of the Law Enforcement Museum before heading to the Capital One arena for the team’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.
Capitals' Captain Visits
Captain is being puppy-raised by the Capitals until he is ready for formal service dog training with America’s VetDogs later this year. Once he finishes growing and training, he will meet his new owner in 2021 – a veteran, active-duty service member, or first responder with disabilities.
During his visit, Captain learned about K-9 training and 911 emergency operations, watched footage of first responders from 9/11, saw the inside of a state trooper’s car, and paid his respects at the Law Enforcement Memorial to fallen officers.
We hope his visit gave him some insight into the work he’ll be doing to help his future companion.
Thanks for the visit, Captain!
