The number of law enforcement professionals nationwide who died in the line of duty in 2023 decreased 39% compared to the previous year, according to preliminary data provided by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), the leading authority on officer fatalities.
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced the hiring of Rosa Guixens as the organization’s new Executive Director of the National Law Enforcement Memorial. Ms. Guixens, a resident of Silver Spring, MD, brings a wealth of law enforcement experience to the role, previously serving as the Chief of Police of the Riverdale Park (MD) Police Department.
