In honor of all peace officers who put on the uniform every day to protect and serve your local communities I say thank you. Today we recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their fellow man. They serve with humility and are not recognized enough for their hard work but today we shine a light on peace officers.

Sergeant Howard Plouff was a 17-year veteran of the Winston-Salem Police Department. Sergeant Plouff was fatally shot outside a nightclub after he responded to a call for help from sheriff's deputies at approximately 2 a.m .Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Forsyth County and Winston-Salem remember and honor your hard work and integrity. You were an outstanding leader and officer. You led from the front on your last tour of duty. You lived the words of Isaiah 6.8 as you answered that final call. #neverforgotten

In our honor of our son, Sgt Daniel V Davis, who never asked for anything but always gave his all. People in Phenix City, AL’s citizens lives’ have changed forever due to leaving this earth. You most certainly are missed by your children and your parents, until it hurts. You are missed terribly by your badged and biological families. You were so tight with sides of your families. I never got to meet my father who’s life was cut short by an armed robbery he was trying to stop. And now He’ll forever be memorialized as a hero.
